About Us

We are attempting to bridge the gaps that low income single parents have when trying to better, or at least attempt to improve their quality of life. Our goal is to bring greater opportunities, better occupational options, computer literacy, Internet accessibility, interactive supportive networking and new educational resources for the single parent and their children with the motivation to work towards self-empowerment. As a new organization, we wish to provide services on a National level.

Recent statistics indicate that the United States workforce is moving towards technology. Over 40% of the National workforce is technology based. Only 1 out of 10 low-income single parents own a home computer. These people have limited opportunities and access to a computer. We believe that these people and their children deserve equal opportunity to advance and succeed in today's technologically competitive world.

This year we have successfully completed our research and development strategies. We have opened our office headquarters in Bloomington, Indiana, which will facilitate our staff and volunteers. We have aligned ourselves with partnership agreements, which will enable us to begin our computer recycling, to generate monies towards our cause.

PURPOSE

To provide computers for low income single parents to create better opportunities for both the parent and their children. This will allow the single parent to set an inspirational example for their children and help to break the vicious cycle of inexperience and poverty, due to lack of accessible educational tools.

MISSION

To create a web-based networking support group. To build and make accessible a reference center and referral agency, and to build public awareness to it's accessibility. To make available a computer to every interested and deserving low-income single parent in our great country.

STATISTICS

There is a growing impoverished amount of single parent families in America. Single parents have limited resources during the most critical child rearing times of their lives. These families deserve to live with dignity, compassion, comfort, love and support for themselves and their loved ones. Technology is an area that has not been addressed for these single parent families, the opportunity to feel connected with ones culture is necessary for this to compete in today's job market. With the same competitive edge and technological advantages that the more affluent parents have at their ready.

Statistics indicate that the United States job market is over 40% in the technological fields. (Cite low-income parents have no computers.)

PROGRAM EVALUATION

Our broad goals are to fill in service gaps and connect low-income single parent families with technology, by providing computer accessibility in their homes.

The measurable objectives and outcomes will be evaluated by national organizations that share similar goals, the recipients, their children and their communities. This target group will be contacted on a regular basis through a committed website. This will develop meaningful statistics, program evaluations and a constant update in the development of the families' new found successes.

The program will provide much needed advantages, support groups, health information, job opportunities, connection to long distant relatives, irreplaceable school aid to the children, an online library, unlimited research resource center and bringing a window of the world into their homes.
